A Summer of Fun: Longville’s Turtle Races Wrap Up Another Successful Season
Another incredible summer in Longville, Minnesota, has come to an end, marked by the conclusion of our much-loved Turtle Fest. From June 12th to August 14th, families and visitors gathered every Wednesday to partake in this unique tradition, and what a summer it was!
The Turtle Races provided endless entertainment, with turtles competing for glory. The cheers of spectators, both young and old, filled the air as they rooted for their favorite turtles. It was a season full of close finishes, surprise victories, and unforgettable moments.
But the fun didn’t stop at the finish line. Each week, the event buzzed with excitement thanks to carnival games, fantastic prizes, and lively dancing. The hula hoop contests were a particular highlight, with participants of all ages showing off their impressive skills and enthusiasm.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the Longville Area Chamber of Commerce, Camp Olson YMCA, our many vendors, and the incredible volunteers who made this event possible. Their dedication and hard work ensured that the Turtle Races were a success, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
